we did the music for the sis by spijkers and spijkers fall winter 2014 show at fashion week amsterdam and had a great time compiling, mixing and delivering this little gem.
the collection was inspired by jules verne’s balloon trip around the world in eighty days. we made a mix which took the audience around the world in a hot air balloon in just twelve minutes. the show got rave reviews.
we used the trippy classic ambient-house track ‘fluffy clouds’ by the orb as a keytrack, mixing in music from countries from all over the world or tracks mentioning travels around the world and famous cities and added the sound of hot air and wind over the result.
we used too many tracks to mention here on the site, and even took it a little further than jules verne ever dared to go by using the theme of star trek when the balloon exited the stratosphere. so just sit back, relax, close your eyes… and enjoy the flight.
