upcoming star designer jan boelo showed his fall winter 1213 collection sunday january 29 in the afternoon. it was a great show, we loved it.
jan boelo took his inspiration from new york city rich kids who are both rock & roll and classy, the ones who got it all and don’t give a f*** about anything but partying and abusing their dad’s platinum credit card. jan boelo’s collections are inspired by bands from the late 60’s and 70’s, the live element was vital to this show, so was kick ass attitude.
walk in music was just one song: the velvet underground’s sunday morning. we opened the show with fuck off by wayne county & the electric chairs. a song we could only use in amsterdam due to the foul language. other tracks included sheena is a punk rocker by the ramones, jet boy by the new york dolls and the sweet’s ballroom blitz. finale was the runaways’ cherry bomb. this was a fast show, everybody on the team kicked major derriere. we can’t wait for next season. in the mean time, have a listen to what we did for this season below.
